Playadito is produced by Cooperativa Agrícola de la Colonia Liebig, founded in 1926 by German, Ukrainian and Polish immigrant families in the province of Corrientes, Argentina. The cooperative has since become one of the oldest and most respected yerba mate producers in Argentina, with more than 130 affiliated agricultural producers and an annual output of 36 million kilos of yerba mate.
